The ladies made history in a big way at UFC 157 as WMMA introduced itself to the UFC fans in a fast paced and violent main event between reigning champ “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey (7-0) and “Girl-Rilla” Liz Carmouche (8-3). Number 2 ranked “The Dragon” Lyoto Machida (19-3) and number 1 ranked “Hendo” Dan Henderson (29-9) settled their unfinished business in the light heavyweight co-main event. Second-ranked bantamweight “The California Kid” Urijah Faber (27-6) showed the world again why he is considered to always be in line for a title shot by stopping the dangerous tenth-ranked “Pride of El Salvador” Ivan Menjivar (25-10). “The Crusher” Court McGee (15-3) and “The Dentist” Josh Neer (33-13-1) gave it their all to steal the show in an exciting welterweight exchange. To open the main card, “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler (20-9) met number 8 welterweight “Kos” Josh Koscheck (17-7) and succeeded in making an explosive  return to the UFC. The obvious big winners of the night were the members of the WMMA community, but there are always a few losers of the night even when the card as a whole is a resounding success. Saturday night the UFC will return to California’s Honda Center for UFC 157: Rousey vs. Carmouche. On slate for action is an opening bout featuring #8 ranked welterweight “Kos” Josh Koscheck (17-6) as he faces Strikeforce standout “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler (19-9). Second in the Octagon will be “The Crusher” Court McGee (14-3) against “The Dentist” Josh Neer (33-12-1), followed by an anchoring bout between #3 bantamweight “The California Kid” Urijah Faber (26-6) and #10 seeded “Pride of El Salvador” Ivan Menjivar (25-9). The co-main features a highly anticipated light heavyweight contest between #1 and #2 ranked light heavyweights “Hendo” Dan Henderson (29-8) and “The Dragon” Lyoto Machida (18-3). Many MMA fans, however, have their eyes focused on the main event to the exclusion of all else. The UFC returns to Pay-Per-View on Saturday with a battle for the newly forged UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship that currently rests around the waist of “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey (6-0). She will defend that inaugural title against “Girl-Rilla” Liz Carmouche (8-2) on a talent-packed card that opens with #8 welterweight “Kos” Josh Koscheck (17-6) who welcomes the returning knockout artist “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler (19-9). Second out is “The Crusher” Court McGee (13-3) debuting at 170 against “The Dentist” Josh Neer (33-12-1). Saturday night the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey (6-0) and “Girl-rilla” Liz Carmouche (8-2) lock horns as they become the first two women to compete in the Octagon as they headline UFC 157. The Honda Center in Anaheim, California will also feature light heavyweight contenders #2 ranked “The Dragon” Lyoto Machida (18-3) and #1 ranked Dan Henderson (29-8)  taking care of the co-main event duties. “The Crusher” Court McGee (14-3) makes the drop to 170lbs. to take on “The Dentist” Josh Neer (33-12-1). In the card’s opener, #8 welterweight “Kos” Josh Koscheck (17-6) returns after a timely lay-off to welcome back knockout artist “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler (19-9). The women will finally step into the bright lights of the UFC on Saturday as the Honda Center of Anaheim, California welcomes newly-crowned UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey (6-0) and her challenger, “Girl-rilla” Liz Carmouche (8-2), to the Octagon. Shoring up the ladies is a potential light heavyweight title elimination bout between #1 ranked “Hendo” Dan Henderson (29-8) and #2 ranked “The Dragon” Lyoto Machida (18-3). Holding the card down as the anchor bout is #3 bantamweight “The California Kid” Urijah Faber (26-6) as he meets the #10 ranked “Pride of El Salvador” Ivan Menjivar (25-9,) and opening the action is UFC vet and Strikeforce transplant “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler (19-9) against #8 welterweight “Kos” Josh Koscheck (17-6). Anaheim, California’s Honda Center will play host to the UFC’s first ever women’s headliner Saturday night with UFC 157: Rousey vs. Carmouche. “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey (6-0) will test her mettle as the UFC’s first female bantamweight champ when she takes on “Girl-rilla” Liz Carmouche (8-2). Title contention is in the talks for the victor when “The Dragon” Lyoto Machida (18-3) meets the hard-hitting Dan Henderson (29-8) in the co-main event. “The California Kid” Urijah Faber (26-6) and “The Pride of El Salvador” Ivan Menjivar (25-9) will meet again in a rematch that has been seven years in the making. “The Dentist” Josh Neer (33-12-1) and “The Crusher” Court McGee (14-3) will  duke it out as they try to spare themselves from tying a three-fight skid. The UFC will once again hit the cable TV airwaves of FX Friday night as UFC on FX 5 throws eight UFC warriors in the cage to do battle. “The Dentist” Josh Neer (33-11-1) will look to regain his momentum after a 2-1 start to his UFC return when he meets TUF alum “Fast Eddy” Justin Edwards (7-2). Flyweights “The Magician” John Dodson (16-5) and Shooto standout “Formiga” Jussier da Silva (14-1) will meet second as each attempts to establish themselves in the UFC’s new 125 lbs. division. Third up is welterweight titan “The Juggernaut” Jake Ellenberger (27-6) who needs to right the ship after seeing a six-bout win streak snapped. His opponent is “The Thoroughbred” Jay Hieron (23-5) who will make a third attempt to score a win inside the Octagon.
