The ladies made history in a big way at UFC 157 as WMMA introduced itself to the UFC fans in a fast paced and violent main event between reigning champ “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey (7-0) and “Girl-Rilla” Liz Carmouche (8-3). Number 2 ranked “The Dragon” Lyoto Machida (19-3) and number 1 ranked “Hendo” Dan Henderson (29-9) settled their unfinished business in the light heavyweight co-main event. Second-ranked bantamweight “The California Kid” Urijah Faber (27-6) showed the world again why he is considered to always be in line for a title shot by stopping the dangerous tenth-ranked “Pride of El Salvador” Ivan Menjivar (25-10). “The Crusher” Court McGee (15-3) and “The Dentist” Josh Neer (33-13-1) gave it their all to steal the show in an exciting welterweight exchange. To open the main card, “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler (20-9) met number 8 welterweight “Kos” Josh Koscheck (17-7) and succeeded in making an explosive  return to the UFC. The obvious big winners of the night were the members of the WMMA community, but there are always a few losers of the night even when the card as a whole is a resounding success.
