It was one of the biggest moves in mixed martial arts history when the UFC and FOX Broadcasting Company announced in August that they were joining forces. The end result is a stacked card in the inaugural UFC on FOX 1 card easily accessible to a nationwide audience. The Pay-Per-View worthy main event comes at a steal when current UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez (9-0) puts his title and undefeated streak on the line against fellow hard-hitter “Cigano” Junior Dos Santos (13-1-1). Lightweight contenders “The Carpenter” Clay Guida (29-11) and “Smooth” Ben Henderson (13-2) battle it out with potential title aspects on the line. Owner of two consecutive fight bonuses “The Scarecrow” Pablo Garza (11-1) engages with another promising featherweight “Diamond” Dustin Poirer (10-1). Prior to all this action, former WEC featherweight contender Cub Swanson (15-4) makes his UFC debut with “The Bully” Ricardo Lamas (10-2) waiting to greet him. Lamas and Swanson both have the ground credentials and strikes to get the job done.
