Pearl at the Palms in Las Vegas, Nevada continues its new role as the home of the Strikeforce Challengers Series on Friday night as Showtime presents Strikeforce Challengers: Gurgel vs. Duarte. Headlining the card is a hard hitting bout between struggling UFC veteran Jorge Gurgel (14-7) and journeyman submission fighter Joe Duarte (6-2). Also making an appearance are the ladies as amateur WMMA superstar and Judo Bronze Medalist Ronda Rousey (2-0) seeks her sixth straight Armbar win in as many minutes against fellow undefeated warrior “The Monster” Sarah D’Alelio (3-0). Opening the action are TKO machine Derrick Mehmen (11-3) and stand-up specialist Roy Jones (6-1) and two solid matches between “Bam Bam” Pat Healy (21-15) and Eric Wisely (18-5), and “Indio” Danillo Villefort (10-3) and Nate James (9-6-1) round out the event.
