Fireworks come early this Fourth of July weekend when the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada plays host to UFC 132: Cruz vs. Faber. “Handsome” Matt Wiman (13-5) and Dennis Siver (18-7) meet in a promising lightweight battle. Title implications are at stake when former WEC Welterweight Champion “The Natural Born Killer” Carlos Condit (26-5) meets Korean Judoka “Stun Gun” Dong Hyun Kim. It is a do-or-die fight for “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” Tito Ortiz (15-8-1) when he meets top light heavyweight “Darth Ryan Bader” (12-1). In the co-main event, two of the middleweight division’s most respected and dangerous brawlers finally clash when “The Axe Murderer” Wanderlei Silva (34-10-1) returns to face off  with “The Crippler” Chris Leben (21-8). For the main event, pull out the “WEC Never Die” banners because “The California Kid” Urijah Faber (25-4) welcomes reigning UFC Bantamweight Champion “The Dominator” Dominick Cruz (16-1) in his UFC debut with the belt up for grabs. Faber and Cruz have met once before in 2007 where Faber ended the victor. Now four years later and ten pounds lighter, Cruz gets his chance at not only proving he is the most dominant bantamweight in the world, he also gets a chance of redeeming the loss that tarnishes his otherwise perfect record. The world’s premier MMA organization returns to its home base at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday for UFC 132: Cruz vs. Faber. The night kicks off with a bang worthy of the Fourth of July, just two days later, as lightweight powerhouse Dennis Siver (18-7) looks to extend his winning streak at the expense of “Handsome” Matt Wiman (13-5). After the lightweights finish their work, welterweight title hopefuls “Stun Gun” Dong Hyun Kim (17-4-3) and “The Natural Born Killer” Carlos Condit (26-5) will face off followed by a light heavyweight tilt between “Darth” Ryan Bader (12-1) and “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” Tito Ortiz (15-8-1). Ending the festivities is a bantamweight title bout between “The Dominator” Dominick Cruz (16-1) and “The California Kid” Urijah Faber (25-4), who will meet in a rematch of their featherweight championship fight. The co-main event though will be a war of epic proportions. TUF original “The Crippler” Chris Leben (21-8) called for a battle with former PRIDE Middleweight Champion “The Axe Murderer” Wanderlei Silva (34-10-1) after his UFC 116 victory and now he is getting his wish in a fight that has MMA fans worldwide salivating.
