Last week, Ed Perdomo and Bob Berard showed how to use a simple striking combination to set up a basic lateral drop takedown and gain rear mount from the drop. As a mixed martial artist, it is important to be mixed, blending all the techniques and styles studied into one cohesive fighting style. This week, MMA Gospel’s Technique of the Week follows along those same lines. As always, this technique is linked directly to the proceeding week’s maneuver. In this case, the technique is one of the most well known in all of MMA, a mata leão or rear naked choke.
